Tunisair (TU) Baggage Allowance Calculator

For Tunisair flights, your carry-on must measure at most 55×35×25 cm and weigh no more than 8 kg — the sizer at the gate is the arbiter, not the check-in agent. Bags over 8 kg must be checked on Tunisair; airport scales are accurate and staff enforce the 8 kg limit strictly.

Personal items travel free in addition to the carry-on on Tunisair (TU) — a handbag or small laptop bag under the seat is never counted against your allowance.

Checked baggage on Tunisair (TU): each bag can weigh up to 23 kg (included in most fares). The linear dimension limit (L+W+H) on Tunisair checked bags is 158 cm.

Each additional bag beyond the first runs $50 USD pre-booked online. Overweight charges on Tunisair start above 23 kg at $10 USD per kg; items between 23 and 33 kg typically incur a flat surcharge instead.

Excess pricing on Tunisair (TU): $50 per extra bag, $10/kg over 23 kg — the calculator multiplies both for your group. A 28 kg bag on Tunisair's 23 kg allowance costs $50 in overweight charges alone — the table below compares that against simply adding a second bag at $50.

Pre-book additional bags online — airport-side rates on Tunisair are 40–60% higher, and same-day changes at the counter may not be available at all.

Skis, golf clubs and bikes count as ordinary checked bags on Tunisair up to 23 kg; oversize items above 158 cm linear may incur a flat $75–150 surcharge. Instruments under 8 kg and within carry-on dimensions may travel in the Tunisair cabin; larger instruments need either a bought seat or checked handling — Tunisair recommends hard-shell cases and a declaration at check-in.

Strollers, car seats and mobility devices (wheelchairs, scooters) travel free on Tunisair with priority handling — gate-check a stroller and it returns at the aircraft door.
